Customer Service & Marketing Assistant
ApplyWise is looking for a part-time assistant to be a key member of a small but growing team. Responsibilities cover a variety of areas including marketing, sales, business development, customer service and general administrative assistance. ApplyWise is a unique online admissions counseling program that provides college-bound students with the guidance and tools they need to navigate successfully though the college admissions process.
This position reports directly to the ApplyWise COO.
Responsibilities
- Business development to potential partners and re-sellers including financial planners, independent counselors, schools, etc.
- Handle customer service emails and phone calls.
- Write, edit and deliver timely content about college admissions.
- Schedule and deliver web-based and in-person training & product demos
- Assist with online marketing initiatives: email marketing, newsletters & social networking.
- General admin duties
Qualifications
- Candidate must be familiar with the college admissions process. Interest and/or experience in education a plus.
- Entrepreneurial, must be interested in working in a start-up environment.
- Able to work independently and think creatively
- Excellent writing skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people, including customers.
- Experience with online marketing a plus.
Average of 15-20 hours per week. Some work may be done remotely.
