ApplyWise Teams Up With Level 2 Sports to Offer over 500 High School Lacrosse Players Access to a College Admissions Support Program

High School Students Attending the adidas National Lacrosse Classic Get an Edge on College Application Process Through the ApplyWise.com Program

New York, NY-July 7, 2008- ApplyWise (www.ApplyWise.com), an interactive online college admissions counseling program that helps high school students and parents successfully navigate the college search and admissions process, announced their participation as a sponsor of the 2008 adidas National Lacrosse Classic produced by Level 2 Sports.

The 2008 adidas National Lacrosse Classic will feature the top high school underclassmen lacrosse players in the United States. Open to 10th,11th and 12th grade boys, the adidas National Lacrosse Classic provides an opportunity for players to test their skills against the 'best of the best' competing for a roster spot on their Regional Team.

ApplyWise is providing discounts on their unique online college admissions counseling program for all participants in the eight regional events of the adidas National Lacrosse Classic and will be exhibiting and providing seminars at the grand finals on July 18-20th at the Maryland Soccerplex.

According to the U.S. Department of Education, 3.2 million high school students are expected to graduate in 2009, reflecting the largest number in American history. Since lacrosse is one of the fastest growing interscholastic sports, competition for these athletes to gain admission to the college of their choice, is at an all time high. The National Federation of State High School Associations reported that in 2006-07, 126,295 boys and girls participated in high school lacrosse in 3,068 schools nationally. This number reflects a 7.9% increase of lacrosse athletes and an 11.8% increase in high schools that field varsity teams from the year before. The number continues to grow.

With the ApplyWise program, students get step-by-step guidance and tools to build a customized and strategic plan for helping them through the complicated and competitive admissions process. The program also allows students to easily track their entire application process and engage in tutorials that address critical issues such as selecting the right colleges, essay writing and mastering college interviews. In addition, ApplyWise uniquely helps their parents and coaches collaborate and stay involved throughout the process. While the student's privacy remains secure, parents and coaches are able to collaborate with students and keep track of their student's progress along the way.

ApplyWise leverages the comprehensive methodology developed by Dr. Katherine Cohen, who has helped thousands of students get into the colleges of their choice through her educational consulting company, IvyWise and her books, Rock Hard Apps and The Truth About Getting In. In 2007, 94 percent of IvyWise students were admitted to one of their top three choice schools. With the online program ApplyWise, Dr. Cohen is able to make her proven tactics and results accessible to all high school students.

"ApplyWise is the perfect supportive tool for high school athletes and their families to stay on top of the college admissions process. There are so many pieces of the admissions process from creating a balanced list of schools to learning how to avoid interview mistakes. Especially for busy students and parents, ApplyWise's text messages and email alerts warn students of important deadlines so parents can leave the nagging to ApplyWise." said Dr. Katherine Cohen, CEO of ApplyWise.
